Block Stacker is a falling-block puzzle game inspired by one of the most iconic video games ever made. Geometric pieces made of four blocks (tetrominoes) fall from the top of a 10-wide, 20-tall playing field. Your job is to rotate and position them to create complete horizontal lines, which clear from the board and earn points. As you clear more lines, the pieces fall faster, testing your speed and spatial reasoning.
An I-piece appears. You have a 1-wide gap running 4 rows deep. Hard-drop the I-piece into the gap, completing 4 lines at once — that's 800 points!
The board drops significantly after the clear, giving you breathing room for the next pieces.
Play Block Stacker free in your browser. No downloads, no sign-ups — just falling blocks and pure puzzle action. Track your score and lines cleared. Mobile-friendly with on-screen controls.
| Version | Difficulty | Players | Typical Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Slow Start | Easy | 1 | 5-10 min |
| Medium Speed | Medium | 1 | 10-20 min |
| High Speed | Hard | 1 | 5-15 min |
Clearing four lines at once (called a 'Tetris' in the original game) scores 800 points — the maximum for a single piece. This requires leaving a one-column gap and filling it with an I-piece.
The falling speed increases gradually based on how many lines you've cleared. The more lines you clear, the faster pieces fall. This creates a natural difficulty curve throughout each game.
Block Stacker is the ultimate test of spatial thinking and quick reflexes. Stack blocks, clear lines, chase high scores, and experience why this format has captivated players for decades.
