Cheat (BS)

Cheat is a face-down shedding game also called Bullshit and I Doubt It. Players announce a required rank while placing one or more cards face down. They may tell the truth or bluff. Any player can challenge the latest claim; the person who was wrong takes the whole pile. The online table keeps the central tension visible while you decide when a claim deserves a challenge.

1. Look at your hand and wait for your required rank, which advances from Ace through King.
2. Place one or more cards face down and announce the current rank.
3. The next player makes the next rank claim. Watch how many cards each player needs to discard.
4. Call Cheat when you think the latest cards cannot match the announced rank.
5. If the challenge catches a lie, the bluffer takes the pile. If the claim was true, the challenger takes it.
6. Empty your hand to win.

• A standard deck is dealt as evenly as possible.
• Suits do not matter. The announced rank does.
• A player may place an incorrect card when bluffing, but the cards stay hidden until challenged.
• A challenge targets the most recent play and resolves before the next claim.
• The first player with no cards wins, subject to any house rule about a final challenge.

• Track the four cards of each rank. A claim becomes easier to judge when you know the honest copies are already in hands.
• Small bluffs attract less attention, but a large discard can remove a dangerous group quickly.
• Challenge patterns, not personalities. A fast change in discard size can reveal a weak hand.
• Keep one honest card when possible. A completely forced bluff makes your next claim easier to read.
• When you hold several cards of the required rank, announcing a larger truthful play can protect your hand.

• Bullshit: The American name usually follows the same face-down challenge structure.
