Contract Bridge uses a 52-card pack, four seats, two partnerships, an auction, and thirteen tricks. The American Contract Bridge League law book defines a bid as a promise to win a number of tricks above the first six in a named suit or notrump. This browser version keeps the core trick-taking loop approachable: choose a trump suit, lead from your hand, follow suit when possible, and work with the dummy displayed at the table.
You lead a heart and every opponent holds a heart, so each player must answer in hearts. The highest heart takes the trick.
A club is trump. A low club beats an ace of diamonds because trump outranks every non-trump suit.
Your partnership reaches seven tricks with three cards still to play. The practice hand is already secured, but you can continue to test the final leads.
Play Bridge online against our AI opponents right in your browser. The table displays all four seats, reveals the dummy after the opening lead, and highlights the active player. Choose your trump suit, follow suit when possible, and track tricks as the hand unfolds. No download or club membership required. Deal a hand and start your first trick.
Four players form two partnerships. Each player receives thirteen cards.
A trick is one card played by each of the four players. The highest legal card wins it.
Bridge rewards careful counting and partnership coordination. Every trick tells you something about the remaining cards. Track the suits, manage your entries, and let the dummy work for you. Deal a hand and test your trick-taking skills against the AI.
