1. Choose a mode: Timed Challenge for 60 seconds of rapid fire, Survival for three lives with no clock, Practice for relaxed drilling, or Daily Challenge for a fixed set of 20 questions.
2. Select an operation type: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, or mixed.
3. Pick a difficulty level: Easy uses 1 to 10 range with two operations, Medium adds multiplication up to 20, Hard includes division up to 50, and Expert covers all operations up to 100 with powers.
4. Read the problem displayed at the top of the screen.
5. Tap or click one of the four answer options, or type your answer using the on screen number pad on mobile and the keyboard on desktop.

• A streak multiplier increases your score by 1 point per consecutive correct answer, resetting on any miss.
• Division problems always produce whole number answers. Subtraction in Easy and Medium mode never goes below zero.

• Focus on accuracy first. A wrong answer resets your streak and costs points, so taking one extra second to verify beats rushing and missing.
• Memorize multiplication tables up to 12 by 12. Most Medium and Hard problems draw from this range, and instant recall saves several seconds per question.
• Use complementary number pairs for subtraction. If the problem is 50 minus 27, think 27 plus what equals 50 rather than counting down.
• In Survival mode, slow down on Expert difficulty. Three wrong answers end the run, so treat each problem as a decision, not a reflex.
• Watch the difficulty indicator. When the operand range increases, the problems shift from recall to calculation. Adjust your speed accordingly and prioritize streak preservation over raw speed.
