Fill irregular regions with small numbers while keeping equal numbers apart in neighboring cells.

Suguru is a Japanese-style number logic puzzle made from irregular regions. Each region contains every number from 1 through its cell count once. Equal numbers also cannot touch, including diagonally. A two-cell region therefore uses 1 and 2, while a five-cell region uses 1 through 5. The region size controls the number range, and the neighborhood rule carries information across region borders. Fill the compact practice board above and check every neighbor before moving on.
A region with two squares must contain 1 and 2. If one square touches an existing 2 diagonally, it must be 1 and the other square becomes 2.
A 4 in one region touches three cells in a neighboring region. None of those cells can hold 4, even though their region still needs that value.
A region has values 1, 2, and 4 placed in four cells. The last cell must be 3, provided no neighboring 3 makes the placement illegal.
Play Suguru online for free on Clasica Games. The puzzle opens directly on this page, touch controls work on small screens, and the restart control deals another practice position. Start with a clue you understand, make one careful move, and let the board reveal the next question.

Equal numbers cannot touch diagonally or orthogonally. Check all eight neighboring cells.
A region with N cells must contain every number from 1 through N once.
It is Sudoku-adjacent, but Suguru uses irregular regions and an eight-direction no-equal-neighbor rule instead of Sudoku rows, columns, and boxes.
