Pyramid Solitaire is a popular and distinctive card game where 28 cards are arranged in a pyramid shape of seven rows. The goal is to remove all cards from the pyramid by pairing cards whose values add up to 13. Kings, valued at 13, can be removed on their own. 1. 28 cards are dealt into a pyramid of seven rows. Row one has one card, row two has two, and so on. Each card partially overlaps two cards in the row below.
2. The remaining 24 cards form the stock pile that you can draw from one card at a time.
3. Remove pairs of exposed cards that add up to 13. For example, a 6 and a 7, or a 5 and an 8.
4. Kings (value 13) can be removed individually without needing a pair.
5. A card is exposed when no cards overlap it from the row below.
6. Draw cards from the stock to the waste pile. The top waste card is always available for pairing.

• Card values: Ace is 1, numbered cards are face value, Jack is 11, Queen is 12, King is 13
• Only exposed pyramid cards and the top waste card can be used
• Valid pairs must add up to exactly 13
• Kings are removed alone since they equal 13
• Cards are drawn one at a time from the stock to the waste pile
• The game is won when all 28 pyramid cards are removed

• Remove Kings immediately whenever they become exposed. There is no reason to leave a King in the pyramid.
• Look at the entire pyramid before making moves. Removing one pair may block access to another important pair.
• Prioritize removing cards from the top of the pyramid. Upper cards block more cards beneath them.
• Keep track of which cards remain in the stock pile. Knowing what is coming helps you plan pairings.
• Avoid drawing from the stock when pyramid pairings are available. Stock cards can always be drawn later.
• When multiple pairs are possible, choose the one that exposes more face-down cards in the pyramid.
